So what is Co-Washing?Posted on 6:27am Sunday 28th Aug 2011 Conditioner-washing or Co-Washing your hair means instead of washing your hair with shampoo you wash it with conditioner alone. What's the point of co-washing? Well, shampoo can strip the hair of all its natural oils, moisture causing dryness and tangles. Using conditioner allows you to clean your hair without the stripping and tangling that can be caused by shampoo. It protects your hair by keeping it soft and moisturised. Benefits of Co-Washing - Keeps hair moisturised - Keeps scalp clean - Reduces dryness - Reduces breakage - Helps retain growth by keeping hair moisturised How to Co-Wash - Rinse your hair with warm water - Pour a line of conditioner into your hand and apply each line onto parted hair sections. Work the conditioner from the roots to the tips. Continue until all the hair is covered. - Comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb with rounded-edge teeth or run your fingers through hair and leave on for a few minutes - Rinse your hair well with warm water - Add moisturiser or leave in conditioner if you wish and air or blow dry hair - Style as usual We recently asked our Facebook fans and Twitter followers what their favourite conditioner was for Co-Washing and Herbal Essence Hello Hydration proved to be the most popular.
