We recently asked our customers to kindly give us feedback on our service. Many suggested that they would like the products to be easily accessible in their local salon. This means that they would like to purchase the products and then also have the treatment done in that salon. Not only will this make the treatment more convenient for the customers but it will also help introduce new customers into your salon.

If you are a salon owner or worker interested in this opportunity please do not hesitate to contact us on info@naturalafro beauty.com or give us a call on 020 8144 7532.

Don’t miss out on this lucrative business offer!

Some hair products can contain a lot of chemicals that are harsh on your natural afro hair. Others can leave a build-up causing your hair to look sticky and unpleasant. Try to use natural hair products that will gently cleanse and condition, allowing the hair’s own oils to protect and nourish.

Sometimes, changes in hair can be linked to a medical condition or to hormonal imbalances. So if you think your hair has changed recently, have a word with your GP or other qualified health professional and make sure you get it checked out.

The first requirement for luscious locks is a healthy diet. So ditch the junk food and make sure you’re getting a good variety of fresh fruit and vegetables every day. Your body needs lots of vitamins and minerals to build hair – especially B vitamins and zinc. It’s also time to make friends with essential fatty acids! They are essential building blocks for your hair and can easily be incorporated into your diet. As you start to eat more healthily, not only should your hair start to improve, but you’ll feel better too.

Foods rich in B vitamins

Asparagus, broccoli, spinach, bananas, potatoes, dried apricots, dates and figs, dairy products, nuts and pulses, fish, whole grain cereals.

Foods rich in Zinc

Oysters, shellfish, Brewer’s yeast, wheat germ, wheat bran, pine nuts, pecans, cashews, pumpkin seeds.

Essential fatty acid sources

Fish and shellfish, vegetable oils (flaxseed (linseed), hemp, soya & rapeseed), nuts and seeds, green leafy vegetables.

Hair also needs a good blood supply to grow strong. Regularly massaging your head can help. We have some big muscles across the skull and when we get stressed, these can tense up, restricting blood flow. Dehydration can also make the muscles of the scalp constrict so make sure you are drinking enough water.

Remember, don't stress your tresses!!

So you have finally made the decision to go natural but you still have a couple of unresolved hair dilemmas. Here are a few we came up with that are usually faced by a natural hair novice;

1. How will I get natural? Are you brave enough for the Big chop or Transition.

2. How do I go about it? What would be the best way/technique to transition that would be suitable for my hair.

3. How will I maintain and manage my hair? Will have to find out what hair type I am and the best way to keep it healthy.

4. What products to use? Trying and testing is an ideal way to discover what your hair responds to get the best you can from it.

5. What hairstyles can I wear? As a novice researching and taking inspiration from others is one of the best ways to learn how to style your hair. It also allows you to experiment with yours to find what works best for you.

6. How can I change it up? We all know it is easy to get bored from wearing the same do. So adding some colour, highlights, using techniques to create texture or simply adding a hair accessory can make a difference.

It is very important you keep up the maintenance because if you neglect your hair it will definitely show.

Most of us wish and aim to get that lovely long natural hair regardless whether it is wavy, kinky, or curly. This is not the easiest thing to do since our hair roughly grows about ½ an inch a month. But with perseverance and patience great things can happen. Focussing on hair length or growth can add pressure, which is a factor that should not be considered as it is probably one of the initial reasons for you to go Au Naturale in the first place.

When it comes to natural hair, we think that emphasis should not be placed on the length of the hair but rather healthy hair. As ultimately healthy hair is what produces the best satisfactory results. This can then enable one to meet their expectations. So one should focus on healthy hair have diligence and patience when it comes to maintaining the hair in order to achieve what they foresee. We believe healthy hair will meet your Fro expectations and beyond. Tell us what your opinion is by simply adding a comment below.
